ROTARY MINUTE
Carla reminded the club that there is still a little time to give to the Rotary fund. Mara reminded the club about the bottle & can redemption, urging members to turn in them in to put money towards Aqua Pura (formally Pure Water for the World).
Note for future presenters; The Rotary Minute could also have the speaker talk about their personal involvement in Rotary or personal background.

Announcements
Cathy provided an update about the upcoming Golf Tournament and shared that there are still ways to donate and sign up for volunteer slots. Auction items are on tables and members are encouraged to place bids.
Rhonda reminded members to be on the lookout for their current dues in their email.
Chris shared that she didn’t pay attention and had forwarded her statement to Rhonda 😊
Chris thanked Mark A. and Rhonda for covering next week as she will be away.
Cindy shared that at the Rotary International meeting years ago in Montreal there was discussion about not doing the pledge of allegiance at meetings as Rotary is non-political, and she encouraged the Club to consider this action. President Chris opened it up for further discussion. It was mentioned that a number of our student Rotarians are not American and did not know what to do during the pledge. Betsy shared that she has already addressed that with the students. Cheri Ann offered that she does not wish to impose her feelings about the pledge on others.
President Chris offered that this be further discussed when there are more members present.
