Please bring your bottles and cans to the Putney Road redemption center to benefit APPN. Pure Water for the World is no longer operating in the USA; it continues in Honduras as APPN.
Maria Inestroza, the PWW country director for Honduras is continuing the work in that country under the name APPM, acronym for Agua Pura para El Mundo, or Pure Water for the World in Spanish Pure Water for the World. Please remember to inform the staff that the bottles and cans should be credited to the club.

PROGRAM

Kate Kirkwood of Windham County Lead Hazard Program:

Info distributing. Long term projects which originated in her knowledge of the death of a two year old in Manchester, NH.

Functions : Lead poison in Children. Parents and Families access to Info and support. Landlord or building Owners info. Contractor work training for lead abatement. Community service by increasing number of useful housing units through grants and funding.

Present work with Sheriff’s Department involves a $1 Mil grant for Capacity Building in Windham/Brattleboro. Involves engaging property owners and contractors in educational training and certification for Lead Abatement. Only 2 certified contractors 6 mos ago and now there are 10 and 224 trained personnel.

With obvious expressed enthusiasm she continues with grant search.
