WELCOME

President George Weir welcomed all to the April 19^th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the Boys & Girls Club in Brattleboro. Joe Little offered a meaningful invocation of food, fellowship and peace on earth.

This was followed by the pledge of allegiance.

As a luncheon of assorted sandwiches (hummus, turkey salad, and ham & cheese), potato chips, apples, and peanut butter cookies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

For our Rotary joke, George Anthes told a version of the following:

Have you heard about the Rotarian on the deserted island who isn’t worried about being rescued because he hasn’t made his Rotary Foundation pledge yet.

ROTARY MINUTE

For our Rotary minute, Rhonda Calhoun told us about how Rotary makes high-quality health care available to vulnerable mothers and children so they can live longer and grow stronger. To learn more, click here.
