Announcements

Levi reported on a concert taking place at 7:00 at BUHS tonight.
ROAD TRIP:
NEXT WEEK MARCH 12, 2026, IS TO BE A ROAD TRIP. THE MEETING WILL BE AT THE REGULAR TIME BUT AT THE NEW ENGLAND YOUTH THEATER.
Betsy reported that the ski jump fundraiser netted $4,122, making it an immense success. 
Stan reported on the status of the next Groundworks meal scheduled for the 11th.
Nick DuBois of the Sunrise Rotary spoke on the raffle next week there are still books of tickets available at $20 for five tickets. The Sunrise club will be awarding $8000-$11,000 in scholarships.
 
 

Happy Dollars and Brags and Fines

Rob thanked all those who helped following the loss of his father recently. Rob also bragged the club sold 948 hot dogs at the ski jump.
Nick DuBois of the Sunrise Rotary bragged about his recent trip delivering medical supplies to Montego Bay recently. He talked of groups working to recover from recent storms and a program to supply defibrillators to the community.
There were brags for Chief Norma Hardy, including Cheri Ann, Carla, Mara, Jenifer, and Cindy Jerome focusing on her service to Brattleboro and results of her leadership.
Jenifer bragged that after early health issues her grandson recently had a happy second birthday.
Bill McKim bragged about his upcoming trip to Roger Miller’s condominium.

REMINDERS

  • Please bring your bottles and cans to the Putney Road redemption center to benefit APPN.  Pure Water for the World is no longer operating in the USA; it continues in Honduras as APPN.
    Maria Inestroza, the PWW country director for Honduras is continuing the work in that country under the name APPM, acronym for Agua Pura para El Mundo, or Pure Water for the World in Spanish Pure Water for the World. Please remember to inform the staff that the bottles and cans should be credited to the club.

PROGRAM
Nancy Leitch introduced a group of students representing the Interfaith Youth Group, which is planning for and raising funds for an upcoming trip to Charleston South Carolina working with other similar groups. They are open to all faiths including the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities, The students reported on planned activities and detailed shared values mentioning such things as physical and mental health, leadership, justice, forgiveness, community, diversity, and respect. On March 14 at 7:00 at the Brattleboro Center Congregational Church there will be a benefit concert to support the April trip.
Following the program George Weir, Mara, Betsy, and Cyndi bragged as contributions to the program.
