President Greg Worden welcomed all to the January 14th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. John Mabie offered a meaningful invocation honoring the memory of Martin Luther King. This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Greg Worden and Marty Cohn.
As a luncheon of chicken, garbanzo beans + kale salad, mac + cheese and house-made brownies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

For our Rotary joke, Rick Manson told a version of the following:
A man buys a lie detector robot that slaps people who lie. So he decides to try it out at dinner.

Two goats were eating lunch in the junk yard. One goat came across a large reel of movie film left over from an old movie theatre. As the first goat ate the film, the second goat watched with much interest as it had never seen movie film before. When the first goat had finished eating all the film. The second asked "So, how did you like it?" to which the first goat replied "Not bad... but I liked the book better!"

Marty Cohn proposed three fines on Dart Everett.
Not trusting a fellow Rotarian (Marty informed Dart that he had already paid for his birthday)
