WELCOME

President Jeff Hagstrom welcomed all to the May 18th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Marty Cohn offered the following invocation:
May those assembled here today enjoy the many offerings of rotary. May we abide by the rules we have established, those of trust, fellowship and ethics, and may we place service Above Self, in our daily  endeavors. And may we always test ourselves and our efforts to be sure they are the trusth, good for all concerned, of benefit to mankind, and provide peace and understanding. Amen. 
This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Linda Dierks and Dave Neumeister. (ED NOTE: Does anyone remember if we wished Jeff Morse birthday greetings on May 11th?) 
 
As a luncheon of grilled chicken, pork loin, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, veggies, salad, rolls, and cookies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

  1. There will be an executive committee meeting following today’s club meeting.
  2. Club golf tournament is on 6/8.  Dinner for non-golfers is $20. See Cathy Coonan for more info. Reminder: participation at Golf Tournament is mandatory.
  3. Club will be staffing Welcome Center on Friday, 6/16.  For more info, see Greg Worden.
  4. Bottles and cans can be brought to Putney Road redemption center to benefit Pure Water for the World. Please see Mara Williams.
  5. The August 10th club meeting will be a roadshow to NECCA.
